The UN General Assembly originally declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace by observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. Engaging in creative activities can give us a break from continually dealing with the pandemic, and is in line with the 2021 theme, "Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world".
