Write Winning Grant Proposals is presented by John Roberts from Grant Writers' Seminars and Workshops LLC and organized by the Office of the Vice President for Research for faculty and staff. This workshop will emphasize idea development and writing strategies that are of proven value in preparing a grant application. Registration is free; space is limited.

Topics covered include developing a research plan, analysis of sample proposals, writing practice, peer review, drafting proposal sections (selecting, organizing, and summarizing key points), revising drafts (using passive/active voice, sentence-level editing), and developing effective graphics.

This workshop is open to all researchers at no cost and all participants receive an extensive handout. A field-relevant copy of The Grant Application Writer's Workbook is available for different funding agencies for an additional $80 per workbook. Attendees must have the permission of their department chairs, or other authorizing personnel, before registering for the Grant Application Writer's Workbook.
