Presentation: The State of Iowa State Athletics
Athletics director Jamie Pollard is in his 14th year at Iowa State. His talk is hosted by the ISU Retirees Association and is open to the public. Refreshments will be available at 1:30 p.m.
Workshop: Data Sharing 101
The sharing of research data is a vital component of open science. It is a process that works in tandem with publishing by providing access to the data that underlies and supports research results. This workshop covers the best practices for data sharing including how to prepare a dataset for sharing and what to expect during review.
Reception: SheTalks
A community cocktail reception with presentations by six inspiring storytellers -- all women. The format, based on the Japanese PechaKucha style, allows speakers to show 20 slides, each for 20 seconds. The theme is "Women Who Create."

BRA (Bras to Recycle and Aid Women) Collection
In partnership with I Support the Girls, the Office of Sustainability is collecting gently-used and unwanted bras toward supporting Central Iowa women in need.

Homecoming: Alumni awards ceremony
The ISU Alumni Association and ISU colleges will present some of their highest honors during the annual honors and awards ceremony. A dessert reception will follow the ceremony.
Homecoming: Happy Hour and Pep Rally
Giveaways, entertainment and family fun. Meals ($5) and a cash bar will be available while supplies last. Stay for the pep rally and Yell Like Hell final performances on the stage in the parking lots.
Paint Your Own Pottery: Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skulls
Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday for celebrating those who have passed. Drawings of Sugar Skulls often include flowers, dots, linear patterns, and other fun elements that can transfer beautifully onto pottery. We will have pattern ideas as well as bisque with pre-printed designs for coloring in. Pick yours up in time for Dia de los Muertos October 31-November 2.

Take a walk through the Greek house neighborhoods to see Homecoming decorations, displays and performances. This year's theme is "Cy's the Limit."
Homecoming: Pancake feed, fireworks and mass campaniling
These events are Homecoming traditions. Pancakes are $3 per person. Mass campaniling and fireworks will start at midnight.

Homecoming: Cyclone Central Tailgate
Cyclones everywhere are invited to celebrate at the Alumni Center before every home football game. Enjoy giveaways, shopping, refreshments, marching band performances, Cy and spirit squad appearances, and entertainment for all ages. Doors open 3 hours prior to kick-off and end 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Catered meal available for an additional charge.
