Fourth annual 'Trashion' Show
Hosted by students in AESHM 222, Creative Thinking and Problem Solving, to bring awareness to environmental issues hurting the planet. Students have created garments from recycled materials such as newspaper, plastic bottles, school supplies, fast food packaging and even parking tickets. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Concert: ISU Wind Ensemble
Under the direction of Michael Golemo, the 60-member Wind Ensemble performs works for smaller chamber ensembles to the full ensemble.

SCAVMA Scamper
The 34th annual SCAVMA (Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Association) Scamper is a 5K/10K run or walk. This is a dog-friendly race and competitors are encouraged to bring their canine companions. Entry fee includes chip timing, a race T-shirt, post-race refreshments and an entry for one of several door prizes. Proceeds support student involvement and raise community awareness about the OneHealth mission.

Exhibition Reception - Creative by Nature: The Bohan Collection of Inuit Art

Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm, the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

The UM Connection - International Sculpture Day

Art + Issues - Building a Campus Community
Art + Issues is an open campus discussion facilitated by our educator of visual literacy and learning. Topics that relate to current events will be presented and attendees are encouraged to bring other discussion topics with them with a goal of generating understanding in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space. People are invited to come and go during the two hour time frame as their schedule permits.

"Defining, Improving, and Changing the Specificities of CRISPR-Cas Nucleases." Professor J. Keith Joung, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, will describe research advances that are broadening the range of applications for CRISPR-Cas nucleases, improving the precision of these reagents, and enabling better elaboration of these technologies. SHIFT Installation Opening Reception
Opening reception for a design-build installation by the spring 2016 second-year architecture studios. The permanent outdoor public space integrates both seating and places for play at Reliable Street artists' collective in Ames. At night it will be illuminated by an architectural light display powered by a solar-panel system donated by Ames company PowerFilm.
