Art Walk: Celebrating Artful Engineering at Iowa State
"Innovation and Discovery." With Marston Hall reborn and reopened, it is a perfect time to enjoy the wonderful Art on Campus Collection in the College of Engineering that inspires those who study, work, and visit the College. Starting at the Marston Water Tower (from a distance), we will discover and discuss many of the public works of art that define the aesthetic of the Engineering environment. Meet at the West entrance to Marston at noon.
Homecoming: 'Bomb' Transcribe-A-Thon
Participants will learn about "The Bomb" -- Iowa State's yearbook from 1894 to 1994 -- and how to transcribe its content. A quick tutorial is all it takes to get started. The event is free, and participants may come and go during the afternoon. Join the fun and learn about ISU history, too.

Take your bead skills to the next level! Learn to create "twisties" - special rods of glass made by melting and twisting multiple colors together.
Leadership Workshop Series: Wellness & Leadership
The Leaders Workshop Series is an opportunity for you to build up your leadership skills from the inside out. During these workshops, you will have the opportunity to engage in activities and discussions that will help you establish your personal values, learn some tips and tricks on how to build a common purpose and community, as well as strategies for empowering your members to lead.

Fine dining dinner: Ciao ISU, Taste of Italy
The menu includes charcuterie board, butternut squash soup, roasted caprese salad, red wine-braised pork medallions and tiramisu. This is one of three themed dinners hosted this semester by students in hospitality management 487/587: Fine Dining Event Management. Reservations are required.
Homecoming: Yell Like Hell
Second cuts for the Yell Like Hell contest, which features skit competitions that promote school spirit with cheering, music and dancing.

Cirque Zuma Zuma is unlike anything you've ever seen before. Many describe it as an African-style Cirque du Soleil; such is the standard of the performers and the quality of the show's live musical score.
Game Night at the Christian Petersen Art Museum
Compete and showcase your gaming skills at the current Christian Petersen Art Museum exhibition, GAME ART VS. ART GAME. Featuring eighteen interactive and diverse video games, this exhibit engages visitors with the University Museums in the dynamic setting of playful exploration and contemporary game design. No prior knowledge or skill in gaming is necessary, so stop by and join in on the fun!

Registration begins for juniors: Spring 2018
First day of assigned Spring 2018 registration dates for students projected as juniors. Hours for AccessPlus registration are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday--Saturday, and most Sundays.

One Night in Memphis
There's a whole lotta shakin' going on! Get ready for a night of rockabilly, country, gospel, and pure 1950s rock 'n roll with One Night in Memphis. A night that takes you back to December 4, 1956 when four of the biggest names in early rock 'n roll - Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash - gathered together for an impromtu jam session at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis.

Blackalicious is an American hip-hop duo from Sacramento, California, made up of rapper Gift of Gab and DJ/producer Chief Xcel.
Lecture: Black Holes in the Universe and in Hollywood
Zaffarano Lecture in Physics - Roger Blandford is an astrophysicist widely recognized for his contributions to the study of black holes. He directs of the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at Stanford University, where he is the Luke Blossom Professor in the School of Humanities and Sciences.
