Expanding Diversity Perspectives: A Curriculum Development Workshop
The ISU College of Design will host this workshop to address pedagogical strategies that foster appreciation for and commitment to honoring diversity, equity and inclusion within and beyond the classroom and studio. The workshop will be led by Geneva Gay, professor of education at the University of Washington-Seattle, who is internationally known for her scholarship on multicultural education and culturally responsive teaching.

Swirl-Painted Nature Workshop

Youth Workshop: When Pigs Fly
Join a team of Iowa State University Industrial Design professors and graduate students for a STEAM workshop great for learning design problem solving and methodology. Two sessions are scheduled: ages 4-8 (10 a.m-noon); ages 9-16 (noon-2 p.m.).
Story Time with Curious George
Join us for a children's story time with everyone's favorite, Curious George. Story time begins promptly at 10:30 am with a chance to take photos with George afterwards. One hour of free parking in the Memorial Union parking ramp with any purchase and all purchases at the ISU Book Store are tax free!

Two Artists Celebrating Textures, Tassels and Textiles: A Documentation of Design Process
Dr. Eulanda A. Sanders, the Donna R. Danielson Professor of Textiles and Clothing in Apparel, Merchandising and Design, and Cindy Gould, Associate Professor in Art and Visual Culture, will give a slide-illustrated talk about their collaborative design process, followed by a hands-on tassel-making workshop. All ages welcome. Tassel-making materials provided.
Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm, the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
