Beyond Basics: Charcoal Drawing with Sara Merritt
Learn basic techniques for working with vine and compressed charcoals, pencils, and Conté, as well as how to combine charcoal with graphite and other media. Emphasis will also be given on preparing, layering, and protecting charcoal drawings.

Environmental Pollution, Climate Change and Our Health
Sandra Steingraber is a biologist as well as a cancer survivor. Film: Miss Representation
The 2011 Sundance documentary "Miss Representation" exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America. It features stories from teenage girls and interviews with such prominent women as Condoleezza Rice, Katie Couric, Margaret Cho and Gloria Steinem. A discussion will follow the 80-min film.
ISU's Largest Zumba Class

Tuesday Tea at the Farm House Museum

In 2006, after several years of fronting the critically acclaimed Colorado-based band, Newcomers Home, Katie Herzig moved to Nashville to strike it solo. Before leaving Colorado, she single-handedly recorded and produced Weightless, a tour-de-force of innovative sonics and songwriting. Since then, Katie's song "Heaven's My Home" received a 2007 Grammy nomination and she has steadily become a fixture in Nashville's up-and-coming indie music scene
