Beyond the Text: Rare Books as Artifacts
Trace the transition from manuscript to print culture evidenced in early books and manuscript leaves from the library's rare books collection. Participants will learn to identify unique features of hand-press era books and have the opportunity to explore a book from the collection to discover its history. Research Workshop: Submission software training
The Office for Responsible Research will transition to a new electronic system for submission, review, and maintenance of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) applications. The a-tune tick@lab system will go live in early 2018, integrating research, teaching and testing protocols, animal procurement and management, as well as veterinary medical records.
Retirement reception: Peggy Deaton
Peggy Deaton, a custodian with facilities planning and management, is retiring April 6. A program will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Virtuosic and versatile, Shattered Glass balances vibrant excitement with a meticulous respect for piece, composer, and tradition. With a repertoire that ranges from Bach, Britten and Bartok to Schoenberg and Stravinsky, Shattered Glass has been active in crossover collaborations with pop and hip-hop artists!

Stash The Trash
Stash the Trash is a volunteer effort that brings students and community members together to help clean up the Ames community and assist homeowners with yard work. The event is organized by the ISU Student Activities Center and the Volunteer Center of Story County. Volunteers can choose to work alone, with a group of people, or with an organization.
