College convocation: College of Human Sciences
All faculty and staff in the college are invited to hear Dean Pam White's presentation on the state of the college, meet new members of the faculty and staff, and kick off the 2011-12 academic year. Breakfast will be served 8-11 a.m.

Last day to initiate registration in person without a late registration fee in the Registrar's Student Scheduling Office, 10 Enrollment Services Center by 5 p.m. Registration may be initiated using AccessPlus until 11 p.m. Aug 21, without a late registration fee.

Watercolors in the Garden: The figure in the landscape
Join Jo Myers-Walker of the Left Bank Studio in Gilbert, Iowa as she teaches a series of ten classes on watercolors while being inspired by the surrounding gardens. Classes will focus on the figure in the landscape taking inspiration from tree and bonsai. Participants will get to showcase their art during the Bonsai Show on Saturday, October 8th. All skill levels welcome.

Open house: OLLI at ISU
Instructors for the fall classes will be available to answer questions about their classes. OLLI classes are open to anyone 50 and older. Class registrations and memberships can be submitted at the open house. Memberships cost $25 per year, and class fees vary.
