Tango Practica
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4- 5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better.

This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 5 - 7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

9/11 Commemorative Ceremony
Student representatives of ISU College Republicans, ISU Democrats and the Government of the Student Body planned this event, on the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. Scheduled guests include war veterans, ISU students, a local fire chief and VP for student affairs Tom Hill, who will share thoughts on the attacks and their lasting effect. Concludes with a candle-lit vigil and walk.

Floral Design Series
"Garden Style Arrangements" - These designs feature a variety of flowers that look just-picked from the garden making it the perfect accent for any home. It's sure to please the nature lover or avid gardener.
Watercolors in the Garden: The figure in the landscape
Join Jo Myers-Walker of the Left Bank Studio in Gilbert, Iowa, as she teaches a series of 10 classes on watercolors while being inspired by the surrounding gardens. Classes will focus on the figure in the landscape taking inspiration from tree and bonsai. Participants will get to showcase their art during the Bonsai Show on Saturday, Oct. 8. All skill levels welcome.
Tuesday Tea: Victorian Education
Come to the Farm House Museum to enjoy tea and conversation about all things Farm House. Mark your calendar from noon-1 p.m. and enjoy the 150-year-old structure in a whole new way. Check the University Museums website to learn what the discussion topic will be. Can't make it at noon? The Farm House will be serving tea from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays. Reservations not required.

Listening session: ISU central services for research
The purpose is to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of services that are provided to support the research enterprise in order to build an infrastructure that can effectively manage its growth. Input from faculty and staff is sought. The conveners of the session are Vice President for Research and Economic Development Sharron Quisenberry and Associate Vice President for Business and Finance Pam Cain.
Artist-in-residence Sarah Grant of Sticks, Inc.
September 14th through the 16th principal artist and founder of Sticks, Inc. Sarah Grant will create an installation within the atrium of Horticulture Hall on the Iowa State University campus. Grant will take up residency to draw within the space where her work will be installed as part of the Horticulture Teaching and Research Greenhouse Complex construction project.
ArtWalk-Gerdin Business Building
Join Dorothy Witter, interpretation specialist, for a tour of the Art on Campus in the Gerdin Business Building. This semester's ArtWalks focus on the Thousand Words Project, which asks members of the Iowa State Community to re-interpret works of art in the Art on Campus Collection.

Artful Yoga
Weekly yoga session led by yoga instructor and ISU senior Kelby Barker. During inclement weather and November, class will meet in 1017 Morrill. No yoga experience necessary; bring your own yoga mat.
A Histo-Musical Lecture about the Gullah/Geechee
"Gullah/Geechee: Crakin Teet wid de Worl Bout Who WEBE," Queen Quet Marquetta Goodwine, the selected and elected official head-of-state and spokesperson for the Gullah/Geechee people. She uses activism through the arts to educate global audiences on human rights and the continuation of cultural communities.
