Anton Chekhov is considered one of the greatest short-story writers in the world. This new adaptation of severa l of his stories explores the everyday lives of 19th century Russians. Chekhov believed the role of an artist was to ask questions, not to answer them. He makes no judgment as to the behavior of his characters, and in so doing, reveals the depths of human joy, confusion, dissatisfaction, and sorrow.

Over 50 teams will compete in the ISU Classic, including Northern Iowa, North Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas State, Iowa, DePaul, Wichita State, Southern Methodist, Nebraska, Miami (FL) and Bradley. Live results will be available through cyclones.com. Flotrack (flotrack.org) will also be providing meet coverage on Friday and Saturday. Full results will be posted on cyclones.com at the conclusion of each day's events.
"Working Over Wood" Artist Studio Open House
Every Friday, artist Jennifer Drinkwater will set up her studio in the ground floor gallery of the Christian Petersen Art Museum - Room 0003. She invites the public to visit with her, participate, and develop a dialog about her current project to reinterpret and recompose the Grant Wood mural for Parks Library "When Tillage Begins, Other Arts Follow".
Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference
"The Butterfly Effect: Evolution to Revolution," MBLGTACC 2012 strives to connect individuals and communities with resources that will help to enrich lives across the Midwest. Our socially just and positive actions work together, leading to a more equitable world. University Print Society Valentine Card and T-shirt Sale
The University Print Society will sell handmade cards and T-shirts printed with a valentine theme as a fundraiser for student club members to attend an international professional printmaking conference in New Orleans over spring break. The sale continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14.
