Schooltime Matinee Series: ISU Orchestra
Samuel Vargas headlines Symphony of Diversity 2022, an orchestral celebration of music from composers around the world, performed by internationally famous guest artists and the ISU Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Jonathan Govias.
Distinguished Awards Ceremony
The university's highest awards to alumni and friends will be presented, with a reception immediately following the ceremony.
Drop-In Craft: Painted Flowerpots
Simple, fun, and in-season, terra cotta pots are an easy surface to paint on. Choose from small pots to start an herb garden, to medium containers for indoor plants, and larger pots for outdoor flowers.
Fired Ink Art Fridays
Not available to go. Create swirls and blurs of vibrant color on glass using alcohol inks and a little bit of fire. We will seal the design and slip it into an 8 x 10 frame for an instant masterpiece!

Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.

Suicide Awareness Walk
Out of the Darkness campus walk, supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) education and support programs and its bold goal to reduce the annual U.S. rate of suicide 20 percent by the year 2025. Hosted by Iowa State University Student Counseling Services. Register online or in person; walk begins at 10 a.m., south of the campanile.

Venezuelan violinist Samuel Vargas, winner of the 2021 Sphinx National Competition for Black and Latino talent, will perform Florence Price's Concerto No. 2 for violin and orchestra in a concert that includes Baba Yetu, a setting of the Lordââ'¬â"¢s Prayer in Swahili and the first piece of music written for a video game to win a Grammy Award.
