Open house: Strategic facilities plan
Three drop-in open house sessions are planned to collect input on how the university community uses its buildings and spaces. The information will be used to develop a strategic plan for future investment in design improvements or renewal of ISU campus facilities.
Workshop: Launching Your Faculty Career at ISU
An introduction, for term faculty only, to university resources, polices and programs that will help them with a successful start. The discussion will include career paths and opportunities for development. Register via Learn@ISU.
Using Campus Resources to Find Funding Opportunities
ISU provides excellent resources to assist faculty with the search for research funding. In this hands-on training you will learn how to strategically use websites and proprietary databases to identify and connect with funding opportunities and to set up saved searches, shared opportunities, and receive funding alert emails.
Meeting: Professional and Scientific Council
The P&S Council is a representative body elected by, and responsible to, Professional and Scientific employees at Iowa State University. Meetings are open to the public.
Open house and dedication: Digital Accessibility Lab
Designed as a welcoming and inclusive space, the Digital Accessibility Lab will allow students with disabilities to work together using assistive technology that includes speech-to-text software, text-to-speech software, gaming hardware and software, screen magnifiers, virtual reality headsets and more. A program will begin at 3 p.m., followed by tours of the lab.

Working in USDA's ezFedGrants System

Fused Glass Ornaments
Rhonda Scott Get in the holiday spirit by making two beautiful glass ornaments. Learn to safely cut glass, create a design and assemble glass. During the kiln firing, we will "tack fuse" your ornaments. This will join the glass, but design components will retain their individual characteristics. Ornaments will be ready for pick up the following week. Equally fun to give as gifts or to keep for yourself!
