Lecture: "The Girls from Ames"
"The Girls from Ames," author Jeffrey Zaslow. The story of 11 women and a 40-year friendship that started in Ames, Iowa. Now scattered across the country, these women share an unbreakable bond of friendship that includes constant contact and annual reunions. The book began as a response to his Wall Street Journal column on the enduring bonds of women's friendships.

Arbor Day celebration
Reiman Gardens is hosting an Arbor Day celebration with several family-friendly events, including a tree planting ceremony (10 a.m.), a tree scavenger hunt, free information for adults, and coloring books for kids. The first 100 guests will receive a Kentucky coffee tree seedling.

The capstone event of Electrical and Computer Engineering's yearlong centennial celebration. The evening will include a dinner, awards ceremony, and a comedy routine by an electrical engineer-turned-comedian, Don McMillan. RSVP by April 20.
