Reception: "Common Threads III"
A reception will open a collaborative exhibition by local fiber artist Catherine Reinhart and Minnesota printmaker and fiber artist Allison Wegren Metzger. The exhibition runs Oct. 1-31 at ISU's Design on Main Gallery, 203 Main St., Ames.

ISU Wind Ensemble
Dr. Michael Golemo is the director. The Wind Ensemble is recognized as the top concert band at Iowa State. Striving for perfection and playing for the love of music, the sixty members of the Wind Ensemble perform the finest quality literature composed for winds including music from the 16th century through the most contemporary works available for winds. The Wind Ensemble performs works for smaller chamber ensembles to the full ensemble.
Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm, the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
