Beginning Metals
Learn the basics of metalsmithing in this class including how to work with different types of metal, how to safely use tools, and techniques such as sawing, drilling, forming, chasing, annealing and riveting. Students will complete one or two projects depending on complexity. Pendants, earrings and bangle bracelets are just a few of the possibilities!

"A Killer in the Dark" is a documentary about the fight against malaria and highlights the work of Imagine No Malaria, a ministry affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Africa. Katie Dawson, coordinator for Imagine No Malaria in the Iowa Annual Conference, and Lyric Bartholomay, Iowa State associate professor of medical entomology, will lead a post-film discussion and Q&A.

Planetarium Show
Are you curious about space? Do you wonder about what you can see in the night sky? If so, bring your questions and come to the ISU Planetarium to learn more. Shows are at 7 pm and 7:30 pm and are suitable for all ages. Weather permitting a star-gazing session will be held after dark. Free tickets for the shows will be available at the door starting at 6:45 pm. Seating is limited.
