Woodshop Orientation Class
For the beginner who wants to learn the fundamentals of woodworking equipment. Proper usage of the machinery will be covered, as well as woodshop safety. This class is required in order to use the woodshop on your own.

Kids' Story Time
Each session features a theme with two or three books read aloud followed by a related craft or activity. The books, crafts and activities are intended for children ages two to seven years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This class is held every other Tuesday from May 12 through August 18.
Photographic Composition Class
This is a 4 week course on Tuesdays beginning June 2, June 9, June 16, and June 23 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Mark Stoltenberg, of Mark Stoltenberg Photography, wants you to see what he sees. Let the professional help you create stirring and beautiful compositions by learning to examine the best angles, lighting, timing, and in-camera cropping of an image.
Tango Basics
Tango is a rich and complex improvisational dance, considered to be the most challenging yet most fulfilling of all the partnered dances. Starting with a salida, learn to link basic movement patterns so you can have a dancing "conversation" with your partner. Learn the language of Tango and "speak" it with the music. Tango can improve your balance, focus, sensitivity and your ability to work with and respond to a partner. Plus, it's loads of fun!

Black & White Digital Photography Class
This is a 4 week course on Wednesdays beginning June 3, June 10, June 17, and 24 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. This course builds on the technical foundations of digital photography, expanding practical skills while also fostering your aesthetic awareness and vision as a photographer.
Belly Dance
A Three Pillars Delsarte based approach to Middle Eastern Belly Dance in the style of award winning performer Shiara. These classes teach the basic movements of belly dance with a specific focus and detailed exploration each week. There are two beginning classes per evening on Wednesdays (7-8:10pm and 8:20-9:30pm). Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Punch cards are good for 1 year from purchase date.

Learn techniques in pencil, pen and ink, and enrich your drawings with the use of color by working with pastels.
Plant and Flower Drawing Class
This is a 6 week course on Thursdays May 21, May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18, and June 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. This six-week beginner course will introduce how to use plants as the subject of art with easy approaches and successive lessons.
Intro to Social Dance Class

Iowa Regional Lily Show
Hundreds of lilies from the U.S. and Canada plus a large selection of lily designs will fill the Reiman Gardens' Events Hall with color and beauty. People from all over Iowa and neighboring states come to visit the show. The IRLS Lily Show is held in a public place to expose and educate the general public about the various exotic colors, shapes and fragrance of lilies. Visitors will see hundreds of varieties from all over North America.
Family Activity: Discovery Stations
Drop by for fun, informal activities in the Gardens during the summer that relate to themed garden areas. Discovery Stations are family oriented and designed so both youth and adults can participate in the activities. Each discovery station focuses on a corresponding educational activity and/or garden display, as well as interpretation of the 2015theme: "Celebrating the Past & the Future."
Final concert: Heartland Marimba Academy
Performance features all artists of the Heartland Marimba Academy and the festival orchestra.

Argentine Tango
This Milonga is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time. Wear dancing shoes, smooth-soled shoes, or socks.

Opening Reception: Magic Masala Exhibition
Reception for Master of Fine Arts thesis exhibition of mixed-media illustrations, digital photographs and animations by integrated visual arts graduate student Rohini Kummitha.
