Lecture: What Race Is, What It Is Not, and Why It Matters
"Race" as we use it is not a biological category. Nor is there a "natural" explanation for why race relations are often difficult, but there are lots of interesting social, political, psychological, and historical ones. Agustin Fuentes is a Professor of Anthropology at Princeton University researching human evolution, multispecies anthropology, and structures of race and racism.

SUB Comedy Night: Becky Robinson
Becky Robinson is an LGBTQ+ LA-based comedian, writer, actor and voice-over star. The award-winning comedian has done numerous voiceover jobs with DreamWorks, Nickelodeon, and Netflix, was on MTV's Wild 'N Out with Nick Cannon, and currently voices "Parker J. Cloud," an exuberant former rain cloud on a mission to brighten up everyone's day, in Nickelodeon's all-new animated series Middlemost Post.

He guides the company's advancements in artificial intelligence, data, and decision sciences. evolve24 is a leader in predictive analytics and decision sciences that drives greater certainty in strategic decision making. This is part of the ISU Student Innovation Center noon talks.
Panel: Military Affiliated Students in the Classroom
"Supporting Those Who Serve: Military Affiliated Students in the Classroom." There are currently 675 military veterans, Reservists, and National Guard members enrolled at ISU. Please join us in learning more about supporting our military-affiliated students in the classroom. For Los Angeles-based band The Wrecks, perfection is possible. They've been refining their alt-rock sound for years, but finally now have a debut record to show for it. They released their debut album, Infinitely Ordinary, to great acclaim in May of 2020, with MTV calling the record "A Masterpiece." Best known for their popular single "Favorite Liar," which received significant airplay nationwide and charted in the top 40 on alternative radio.

Argentine Tango Lessons
Valerie Williams This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with different partners for practice. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
