Circumstantial Substantial: Martin Despang
Having lived and been educated in the tempered urban fabric of Germany, more extremely tempered Midwest, arid Southwest and Pacific Tropics of the United States made Martin Despang realize how geographies inform cultures. He will share his resulting synergistically professional and academic body of typological case studies forming a comprehensive system of well-being, which has been widely recognized in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Friday Talk: Science Visualization, Efficacy and Collaboration
Kim Moss, assistant professor of biological/pre-medical illustration and integrated studio arts, will share her work toward developing a Science Visualization Center at Iowa State, including testing educational STEAM presentations and exploring synchronous online collaboration in science visualization education. Closing Reception: "Fall" by Mat Greiner
Closing reception for "Fall," an exhibition of new work by conceptual artist and integrated visual arts graduate student Mat Greiner consisting of an installation and video efforts. Absurdity, failure and unreliability are central to Greiner's work, expressed through collisions of vignettes and fragmentary constructions. In "Fall," the works circle existential notions of mortality and soulfulness.
