Reiman Gardens and the Iowa Quilters Guild will be hosting the three-day show which encourages the art of quilting through beautiful displays of garden-themed quilts created by talented Midwesterners.

Turkish Student Association: Welcome and Victory Day Hike
Following a welcome meeting, participants will travel to Ledges State Park to celebrate Turkiye's Victory Day for a 1.5-mile nature hike. The event is open to the Iowa State community.

Curator's Tour of "Future Unfolding"
Brunnier Art Museum curator Adrienne Gennett will tour the exhibition and introduce the newest acquisition to the permanent collection. April Surgent's masterful ability to engrave subtle, yet powerful landscapes and seascapes within glass speak to the significant changes the world is witnessing due to climate change and human made detritus.
Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Drop in Craft: Air Plant Terrarium
A little horticulture therapy is good for the soul and mother earth. Choose a glass container and add sand, stones, moss, and other natural elements to create a terrarium. Next, paint a wood block to use as the base, and assemble with a live air plant. Glass for this project is from thrift stores and donations, and air plants are purchased locally at Back Alley Plants. Reduce - reuse - recycle.
Paint Your Own Pottery: Ramen Bowls Week
August 28-September 2 Paint a bowl for ramen - a college student staple! When you pick up your bowl after firing, we will throw in a pack of Maruchan to get you started.

Drop-in Paint Pours w/Rhonda Scott
The Workspace is the perfect place to try your hand at acrylic pours and create an abstract painting full of marbled swirls and cells of color. For best results, leave your painting to dry to pick up later in the week, but making and taking is OK, too.
