Learn the process of sculpting glass rods by heating and melting the glass in the flame of a gas-powered torch. After practice, your lampworking skills will allow you to create pieces with detail and complexity that you can use in jewelry or other decorative ways.
A Call to Climate Action: Our New National Purpose
Rob Hogg is a state senator from Cedar Rapids and author of the new book America's Climate Century. In the book he argues that everything Americans do this century will be shaped by the need to reduce carbon pollution and other greenhouse gases while at the same time dealing with an increasing number of climate-related disasters.
Ballroom dance class
Intermediate American ballroom classes meet once weekly for 11 weeks. Previous ballroom dance experience is required, but no partner is needed.
Open Mic Night
Open mic night gives students the chance to show off their talents to their fellow students. Many are musicians, comedians, and poets. So come on out and show us what kind of talents you have.

What's Going On in Egypt?
Mahmoud Hamad is a faculty member in the Politics Department at Drake University and taught previously at Cairo University in Egypt. His teaching and research interests focus on Middle East politics, comparative judicial politics, civil-military relations as well as religion and politics.
