Ramsey Lecture Series, College of Veterinary Medicine
Phyllis Kanki, DVM, SD, Harvard School of Public Health, will present "Diversity of the HIV Epidemic in Africa: Consequences for AIDS Treatment Programs." Kanki has built on the successes of HIV prevention methods in Senegal by establishing and leading the AIDS Prevention Initiative program in Nigeria, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Faculty Reading and Book Signing

Responsible animal research: Informational session
"How to Perform Category D and E Searches," with Dr. Mary Sauer, ISU attending veterinarian. She will address federal regulatory requirements regarding pain and distress, and provide tips for completing IACUC application forms. Those interested in attending are asked to email Connie Regenold, Office for Responsible Research.

Spelling It Out: The Communication Roles of a Game Designer
Nathan Sumsion is a senior game designer at Avalanche-Disney Interactive Studios. Most recently, he was senior designer on Toy Story 3 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii, released in summer 2010, and on Meet the Robinsons for PlayStation 2, GameCube, Wii and Xbox 360, released in spring 2007. He also taught Game Design Process and Visual Interface Design in the game design program at ITT Tech in Salt Lake City.
