Graduate College applications for graduation for Fall 2013 are due in the Graduate College, 1137 Pearson Hall.
President's Annual Address
President Steven Leath will share highlights of the past year and his priorities and goals for the 2013-14 academic year. The university community is invited. Coffee and other refreshments will be available at 8 a.m. A live video stream of Leath's talk will be available from the president's website.
Garage Sale: ISU gear
The ISU Alumni Association will host a garage sale of T Galaxy merchandise, including a variety of ISU T-shirts, hats, winter apparel and more.

Monthly meeting of BbLearn users discussing various topics related to the use of Blackboard Learn in teaching and learning.
Conservation Subdivision Design: Asli Gocmen
Gocmen is an assistant professor of urban and regional planning at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a GIS state specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Extension. She will present a study investigating land preservation characteristics in 54 Waukesha County, Wis., conservation subdivisions. Part of the Contemporary Issues in Planning and Design Lecture Series.
Fulbright Lunch & Learn Seminar Series
"Preparing a Project Proposal and Planning a Fulbright Stay: A Faculty Perspective," Kimberly Zarecor, Architecture, Czech Republic, 2011-2012 Bring your lunch and learn from Fulbright alumni and current Fulbright-sponsored grantees about a variety of Fulbright Programs. All seminars will start at 12:10 pm and last 20-30 minutes, thus allowing ample time for discussion and socializing.

For the sixth year, Ames will participate in the 11 Days of Global Unity, a program launched in 2004 as a promotion of peace, justice and environmental sustainability. It seeks to inspire, inform and involve humanity in helping to create a world that works for all.
Paint Your Own Pottery: Bubble Painting
Join us for a fun exploration of techniques in "painting" bisque. This one involves blowing bubbles like when you were a kid, but we do it with a straw and paint. The popped bubbles show up and make interesting patterns on the finished pieces. We will have samples for inspiration but your own ideas are always welcome too. Studio fee is $4 for ISU and $5 for public to attend plus the cost of the bisque you select.

Friday at the Center: Beat Iowa
The Iowa State Alumni Association is kicking off the Cy-Hawk weekend with a special Beat Iowa FAC (Friday at the Center). Guests will receive a souvenir "Beat Iowa" cup to be used at the Olde Main beer garden on the terrace (root beer and water also available). The first 100 guests (21 and older) will receive one free beer.
Planetarium Shows - Backyard Astronomy
Are you curious about space? Do you wonder about what you can see in the night sky? If so, bring your questions and come to the ISU Planetarium to learn more. The first show, starting at 6:30 pm will be 20 minutes and for kids. Shows at 7 pm and 7:30 pm and are suitable for all ages. Free tickets for the shows will be available at the door starting at 6:15 pm. Seating is limited.
