Severe Storm Spotter Training, presented by the National Weather Service, Des Moines. The training is especially encouraged for departments that have people working outdoors, but is open to all ISU faculty, staff and students. Training will cover a recap of the 2009 Iowa storm season, elements of storm spotting, storm safety and thunderstorm basics including lightning, cloud types and tornadoes.

Whether you are a spectator, work or play on a sports field, golf course, farm or yard, this class could be life saving.
