On Sunday, April 17th, Reiman Gardens will be bursting with color as we host our popular annual event, Spring Fling. This family celebration will include our yearly Easter egg hunt, where every child can search for a colorful egg to trade in for a Spring Fling goodie bag.
Enjoy children's craft stations and pet tame rabbits. Returning this year are face-painting and cookie decorating booths, along with other fun crafts that complement our 2011 theme of Insects!
Hours for Spring Fling are 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors. Children, members of Reiman Gardens and Iowa State University students are free.
The egg hunt for children through age 4 begins at 1:30 p.m. and children between the ages of 5 - 10 may hunt eggs starting at 2:00 p.m. Pre-registration for this event is encouraged, as usually several hundred children participate - please call 515-294-2710.
Want something even more memorable? Bring your child to the Reiman Gardens' Bunny Breakfast, featuring the Spring Bunny, music and a storyteller, followed by an exclusive egg hunt for those youngsters in attendance and advanced visits to all the activity stations.
Only two breakfast seatings to choose from - 10:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Reservations for up to 36 children and 72 adults are available for each seating. Enjoy donuts and rolls, fruit, coffee, milk or juice. Cost is: $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $5 per child and includes admission to the Gardens. Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling Reiman Gardens at 515-294-2710.
