Chili feed and bake sale
In addition to the bake sale and chili feed, the loser of the Pie in the Face Challenge (Pete Englin or Roger Graden) will be crowned. Proceeds benefit the United Way of Story County.
Lecture: Financial Regulation and Reform
Michael Piwowar was appointed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2013 and currently serves as Acting Chairman of the Commission. He was the Republican chief economist for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and the lead Republican economist on the four SEC-related titles of the Dodd-Frank Act and the JOBS Act. The Forward Theatre Company of Madison Wisconsin first performed this series of monologues written mostly by those in the area on the subject of banned books from various points of view. Banned books included range from "James and the Giant Peach" to "Lady Chatterley's Lover". Permission has been given for ISU students to include their monologues on the subject as well. This production opens on the Friday of National Banned Books Week.

Printmaking Demonstration with Master Printer Asa Wentzel Fisher
Come to the Brunnier Art Museum to see a printmaking demonstration. Asa Fisher from 505 Press of Ames will be demonstrating relief and letterpress printmaking techniques while also providing insight and commentary on the current exhibition of prints by Amy Worthen.

Film: Washed Ashore, Art to Save the Sea
The project, based in Bandon, Oregon, involves collecting, washing and sorting plastic that has washed up on Oregon beaches, and repurposing it into art that is awakening the hearts and minds of viewers to the global marine debris crisis. Reiman Gardens is the first botanical garden to exhibit a collection of monumental sculptures made from this debris, and we invite you to a free public viewing of this feature-length film to learn more.
