Pop-up Exhibit: "Small Acts Big Impacts"
This exhibit will include trivia that begins at a table in the Parks Library Lobby, continues to 405 Parks Library and ends in the Green Dot exhibit in the ReACT Gallery, in the Reiman Gallery of the Christian Petersen Art Museum at Morrill Hall.

Spencer Johnston is the James and Marjorie Waggoner Professor and department head (small medicine medicine and surgery) at the University of Georgia, Athens. He is the first of three finalists in the search for the next dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Lunch and learn: Bridging the Divide
Learn about a new interdisciplinary research grant program. The sessions are for bringing together interested faculty from across campus, providing some examples of such collaborative activities through lightning talks, and to answer any questions about the new program. Lightning talks by Annette O'Connor, veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine, and Clark Wolf, philosophy and religious studies.

"Queer Fashion and Style: Stories from the Heartland," an exhibit that analyzes the recent and current histories of fashion through a queer lens by examining the everyday styles and fashions of members of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Midwest from the late 20th century to the present.

Random Acts of Kindness
Members of the campus community are invited to brighten someone's day with a random act of kindness. Write a letter to anyone, anywhere in the world. The Library will pay the postage and provide paper, pens and envelopes; participants bring the well-wishes and their loved ones' addresses.
Computer Science: Student poster presentation
Graduate and undergraduate students will highlight their research during this annual event presented by the computer science department and Graduate Student Organization. Visitors are invited to vote for the top posters. This year's event is sponsored by Kingland and the Graduate and Professional Student Senate.

Farewell reception: Darren Jarboe
Darren Jarboe, program manager at the Center for Crops Utilization Research, will be joining the faculty at the University of Maryland after 22 years of service to Iowa State University. This is a come-and-go reception.
Retirement reception
A reception will honor several research farm staff members who are retiring: Steve Goben, Kevin Maher and Nick Piekema from the McNay Research Farm, Chariton; and Dale Niedermann from the Ag Engineering/Agronomy Research Farm, Boone. A program will begin at 2:15 p.m.
