Artist reception: Joe Patrick and the Architecture of Impermanence

In his paintings, Joe Patrick finds his inspiration in the Oaxacan marketplaces he has been visiting for nearly 40 years, and in his portrait drawings he depicts moments in time upon the faces of many friends in both Iowa and Mexico.

Art Walk - Does Not Compute
Iowa State University is the home of the nation's largest campus public art collection. Many of the over 2000 works of art that make up the collection are commissioned and designed specifically by the artist to resonate with the students, staff, and faculty that inhabit those spaces. Join University Museums as we take a tour of three spaces inhabited by a diverse group of computational disciplines and see if these public artworks add-up.
