Michael Rowland stars as Shred in the new hit FOX comedy Animal Control, alongside Joel McHale. Originally from Atlanta, GA, he is a New York-based stand-up comedian and actor. He just made his late-night tv debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and this past summer was honored as a New Face at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

Afternoon Teapots Class w/ Valerie Williams
Handbuilding pottery doesn't just mean pinch pots! Learn to use our slab roller to create sheets of clay that can be assembled, manipulated, and built into functional ware. This class will start with making mugs and end with constructing a teapot, and during each session participants can enjoy a cup of afternoon tea, on the house.
Songwriter Showcase (outdoors): Sean M. and Sean T. Sullivan
Iowa musicians Sean M. Sullivan and Sean T. Sullivan will perform as part of the Goldfinch Room Iowa Songwriters Showcase. This event will be on the lawn and patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Outside alcohol is not allowed.

Textured Floral Painting Workshop w/ Kristin Erdman
Use palette knives and frosting-like textured paint mediums to create the modern 3D floral paintings you've seen all over Instagram. The process of mixing the medium and applying it to your canvas is almost meditative, so this beginner class will be a great stress reliever! You will leave with two post-worthy paintings and the skills to continue making more at home.
