Cyclone Central Tailgate
Cyclones everywhere are invited to celebrate at the ISU Alumni Center before every home football game. Enjoy giveaways, shopping, refreshments, marching band performances, Cy and spirit squad appearances, and entertainment for all ages. Doors open 3 hours prior to kick-off and end 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Catered meal available for an additional charge.
Open house: Ag450 Farm 75th Anniversary
Celebrate the 75th anniversary of the student-run, self-sustaining Ag450 farm. Students, faculty and staff will lead tours of the facilities and answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Steve Martin and Martin Short
Longtime comedians, Steve Martin and Martin Short will kick off the new Series with "An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life." The show includes stand-up, film clips, musical numbers and conversations about their lives in show business. Martin and Short will be joined by the Grammy-winning bluegrass band, Steep Canyon Rangers, which features Martin on banjo.

We'll discuss common mistakes made during budget development so you can avoid them. Most our time will be spent examining a real budget scenario so you'll feel confident using Iowa State tools. Finally, we'll answer questions about the comprehensive financial picture of your current proposal.

Mandalas are created with geometric shapes and curvilinear lines, and often incorporate ancient spiritual symbols that are significant in Hinduism and Buddhism. Stop by The Workspace to make a painted stone mandala, and keep it as a talisman for yourself, or give it to someone as a small but special gift.

Screens and hedges are just the beginning. Deciduous shrubs are great additions to the Iowa garden since many have three-season interest.
The Symbolism of the Sand Mandala
Monks from the the Drepung Loseling Monastery will create a mandala sand painting in the lobby of the Memorial Union. The process consists of opening ceremony with chants, music and mantra recitation and ends with the dismantling of the mandala and dispersal of the sand.

Faculty workshop, Mission Not-impossible: Inclusion at a Land Grant Institution
This workshop is intended to help faculty identify sources of bias -- explicit and implicit-- in their interactions with students, colleagues and community members, and develop mechanisms for addressing unintended bias. It has only two requirements - an inquisitive mind and an electronic device (phone, tablet, laptop) that can connect to the internet. All faculty are invited.
