ISU Innovation Prize
The ISU Innovation Prize is an incentive weekend competition open to the public. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to participate. The competition theme is Innovation at Iowa State. There will be three focus areas for participants: AgTech, EdTech, and Global Impact. Identify a problem in one of the focus areas, and pitch your solution for the chance to win one of three $2,500 prizes.
Why They Come
This talk will explore why immigrants are crossing our southern border. Contrary to popular belief, it is not in search of a better life or to take advantage of U.S. generosity. This immigration crisis is a product of foreign colonialist policies which began in the 1840s. Dr. Miguel De La Torre serves as professor of Social Ethics and Latinx Studies at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado.
Cyclone Cinema: John Wick: Chapter 4
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.
