Open forum: Residence department's associate director for facilities candidate, Todd Sirotiak
The Department of Residence has named four finalists for its associate director for facilities position. An open forum is planned for each candidate. All are invited to attend.

Gaetane Jean-Marie, associate professor in the department of educational leadership and policy studies at the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa, is one of three finalists for the inaugural director's post in the School of Education. A reception will follow the forum.
P&S Staff Appreciation: Ice Cream Social
Join P&S Council members for a bowl of ice cream from Coldstone Creamery. There will be door prizes and information about council activities. This event includes free admission to Reiman Gardens. All P&S staff are welcome.

Ralph Reynolds, professor in the department of educational research, cognition and development at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is one of three finalists for the inaugural director's post in the School of Education. A reception will follow the forum.

The university community is invited to a reception hosted by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to welcome its new dean to campus. A short program will begin at approximately 5 p.m. Schmittmann's first day at Iowa State is April 2.

Retirement Reception and Dinner: Paul Anderson and Gary Hightshoe
A reception in honor of retiring faculty Paul Anderson and Gary Hightshoe, professors of landscape architecture, will be held at the Brunnier Art Museum beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are available for purchase. Symposium: Undergraduate research and creative expression
A celebration of undergraduate inquiry that brings students from all academic disciplines together to share their work with the university community, families and guests through oral presentation sessions in a professional conference style environment. Installation: Petersen's "Panthers" FOUND!
For 20 years, University Museums searched for a pair of larger-than-life-sized bronze panthers created by Christian Petersen for a Rhode Island estate in the early 1920s. In the summer of 2010, the Panthers were found, and during VEISHEA 2012 they become a permanent part of ISU's campus art collection. Join University Museums as we install this new to the collection sculpture right after the VEISHEA parade concludes. Free tattoos and treats!
