The Program for Women in Science and Engineering will honor its summer research interns during a poster presentation and reception July 23 in Howe Hall. ISU associate professor Kristen Constant will deliver the keynote speech (1-2 p.m., Howe auditorium), followed by the reception (2-3 p.m., Howe atrium). All are invited; beverages and snacks will be available.

Retirement reception: Sherrie Nystrom
Retirement reception for Sherrie Nystrom, secretary in mechanical engineering. Since coming to ISU in 1971, she has worked in seven different programs and departments. She has been a secretary in the mechanical engineering department since 2005. University friends and colleagues are invited to help celebrate and thank Sherrie for her many years of service.

All Horticulture Field Day
Tours will be lead by horticulture faculty, graduate students and specialists who will share their knowledge and answer questions. Topics of interest include ornamental trees; sustainable landscapes; herbaceous, perennials and annuals; vegetable crops, high tunnel production; organic fruit and vegetable production; water and wetland management; trade show demonstrations; and Farmers Market. Lunch will be prepared from locally grown foods.
