Symposium: Undergraduate research and creative expression
A celebration of undergraduate inquiry that brings students from all academic disciplines together to share their work with the university community, families and guests through oral presentation sessions in a professional conference style environment. Participation is open to the entire university community and all undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
Campus forum: School of Education update
Pamela White, dean of the College of Human Sciences, and Carl Smith and Dan Robinson, School of Education Implementation Committee co-chairs, will host an open forum to give an update about the progress being made for the July 1 opening of the School of Education.
Faculty Senate meeting
The Faculty Senate represents the general faculty of Iowa State University and participates in shared governance of the University with the administration. Senate meetings are open to the public and adjourn at 5 p.m.

Ceremony: Distinguished Awards Celebration
The university's highest awards are presented at this ceremony, which is open to the public. A reception follows in the MU South Ballroom.
Biorenewables Juried Student Art Exhibition Reception
Reception and announcement of awards for the Biorenewables Juried Student Art Competition, which was open to undergraduate and graduate students in the integrated studio arts and integrated visual arts programs. Selected work will be on display in the Biorenewables Research Laboratory through next April.

Installation: Petersen's "Panthers" FOUND!
For 20 years, University Museums searched for a pair of larger-than-life-sized bronze panthers created by Christian Petersen for a Rhode Island estate in the early 1920s. In the summer of 2010, the Panthers were found, and during VEISHEA 2012 they become a permanent part of ISU's campus art collection. Join University Museums as we install this new to the collection sculpture right after the VEISHEA parade concludes. Free tattoos and treats!
VEISHEA: Alumni Center open house
Veishea open house features free root beer floats from Olde Main Brewing Co., building tours, trivia contes and merchandise sales. After the open house, head over to Hilton Coliseum to cheer on the ISU volleyball team as it takes on Nebraska at 5 p.m.
