Initiation ceremony: Phi Kappa Phi, ISU chapter
For fall semester 2010 inductees, this event is open to the public. ISU alumna Sylvia Louise (Lou) Blanchfield will give a short talk, " The Relationship Between Fathers and their Gifted Daughters that Supports Giftedness." A reception follows the ceremony.

Graduate Education Study Circle: Strengthening the Professoriate @ ISU
"Broadening Participation Through Summer REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) Programs." Discussion will provide background research and examples of best practices to connect REU students to entry into graduate school. To register, e-mail spisu@iastate.edu.
