"Little Dresses for Africa" Work Day
Simple dresses made out of pillow cases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses.

Pastels with Nancy Thompson
Pastels are a unique painting medium in that the colors are mixed on the paper by overlaying or blending, rather than on a palette. Meets Tuesdays from 6 - 8pm for 5 weeks.

Swing Dance with Sarah Carney
This class will lead you through basic swing dancing so that you'll feel comfortable on the social dance floor and dancing to a variety of swing music. Meets Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30pm for 5 weeks.
Oil Painting with Deborah Kraft
Through this class, students will become comfortable using oil paint, and gain confidence in color mixing, composition, and paint application. Meets Wednesdays from 7:30 - 9:30pm for 6 weeks.

Student members of the Human Development and Family Studies club will sell Scholastic books appropriate for preschool and kindergarten-age children. Fair continues Oct. 22.
Charcoal Drawing with Nancy Thompson
The drawing medium of charcoal is probably the most ancient--it was first used as ashes from fire on cave walls many thousands of years ago. Meets Thursdays from 6 - 8pm for 4 weeks.
Embroidery with Judith Lemish
The basic stitches for embroidery can be used for more than pillow cases and kitchen towels. Meets Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm for 2 weeks.

Spirits in the Gardens
Like a whole new event this year! Expect the unexpected at this year's Spirits in the Gardens. Don't miss the living lawn ornaments, including trolls, fairies, gnomes and living statues. Kids can collect candy, and take part in craft stations, games, a story teller, a marshmallow toasting station and a temporary tattoo station. Another new feature will be the "Funny Bones Boardwalk," a humorous haunted walk full of silly riddles.
