Symposium: Socio-spatial changes in rural-urban Latin America
This symposium brings together scholars, designers and students from several disciplines for discussion of contemporary Latin American urbanism. Participants will share case studies of design interventions, research projects and public policy initiatives that address a variety of historical factors and current issues such as housing in the condition of informality, environmental systems and the public realm.

Seed Science Center symposium opening celebration
A celebration to honor the career of Leroy Everson, Former director of the ISU seed laboartory. Former colleagues and students, as well as faculty and staff who served under Everson, are invited to attend this free event during which speakers will highlight Everson's career as well as his contributions to Iowa State and the seed industry. Part of the 2013 Leroy and Barbara Everson Seed and Biosafety Symposium.

Seed and Biosafety Symposium
"Seeding the Future: Emerging Policy and Science." The symposium will address important issues that face the seed industry and those that depend upon it for their livelihoods. It will examine the changes in the seed industry in the last 30 years. Register by April 12.

Speakers are Melinda Knight, Senior UX Research Lead, Windows Research Team, Microsoft Corporation; and John Lee, Professor of Industrial & Systems Engineering, University of Wisconsin, Madison.
