Poetry reading: Ginsberg's "Howl"
The first public performance of Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" happened at Six Gallery in San Francisco in 1955. Artist Manuel Neri helped to coordinate the historic event. In celebration of National Poetry Month, enjoy a reading of this legendary poem by local poets while surrounded by the art of Neri, an influential Bay area figurative sculptor.

Art Walk: The Art of Growth
Spring is in the air, graduation is around the corner, and everything is new again. Join University Museums as we explore art that asks us what it means to grow, both literally and figuratively. Meet at the west entrance of Horticulture Hall, facing Catt Hall.
Artful Yoga
This practice will enrich your yoga experience by going beyond the physical and inviting an artistic perspective to your awareness. The practice will begin at 5:30 with a brief talk connecting the current exhibition to the yoga practice. No yoga experience is necessary, but please bring your own mat. Reception: Public Art Unveiling
Join University Museums for the Curators Associates Reception at Morrill Hall where we will celebrate the installation of one of the newest additions to the permanent collection, Karen LaMonte's Nocturne 5. The large scale cast glass human form draped in a meticulously arranged textile was created through a painstaking process that exemplifies the translucent beauty of sculptural glass.

Out of the Fire: The Banned Books Monologues
First performed on campus Fall 2017, this encore performance features a selection of the monologues and will be performed in the ReACT Gallery. Banned books included range from "James and the Giant Peach" to "Lady Chatterley's Lover" and some by ISU students. Directed by Amanda Petefish-Schrag, ISU Theatre.

In Focus: Daguerreotypes, Tintypes and Photographs from the Farm House Museum Collection
Photography, as we know it today, takes place on the screen of a computer or phone, but before the invention of these devices, all photographs were physical objects that could be touched, turned, held and looked at under a magnifying glass. Explore the Farm House Museum Collection of 19th Century photography with Charlie Coffey, exhibition curator, photographer, and University Museums intern extraordinaire.
