Garden Inspirations
Artist Beth Van Hoesen, currently on exhibit at the Brunnier Art Museum, chose to create works of art with universal appeal using nature as her inspiration. Betsy Bradshaw Eness, horticulturalist at Reiman Gardens, will discuss the floral prints of Van Hoesen and show the audience living examples of her subject matter.
ISU Choral Masterworks Concert

Story County Master Gardener Spring Plant Sale
A large selection of house plants, nursery stock plants, annuals, hanging baskets, and perennial divisions - many from the gardens of Master Gardeners- will be for sale. Local vendors selling garden art will also be there to join in the fun.

Object Lessons
The University Museums Collection includes objects made of a variety of materials including glass, ceramic, wood, ivory, and paper. Join Allison Juull, collections manager, as she demonstrates proper object handling techniques and invites you to get up close and personal with permanent collection objects. Object Lessons is a monthly hands on experience and conversation about what we can learn by looking at art.

Concert: Morgenstern Piano Trio
Members of the Germany-based trio are Catherine Klipfel (piano), Stefan Hempel (violin), and Emanuel Wehse (cello). They have won prizes at major international competitions in Europe and Australia. This event is the final concert of the 2010-11 season of the Ames Town & Gown Chamber Music Association.

Conserving a Legacy
When one speaks of the legacy of Christian Petersen, usually his public art created for Iowa State is first to come to mind. During his tenure, Petersen completed 12 major public works of art changing the way Iowa State would look forever. Conservator Francis Miller will share his personal experience with conserving Petersen's sculptures and discuss some of the unusual techniques he uses to ensure that Petersen's legacy will endure.
