ClubFest
ClubFestII is an opportunity for students to browse through over 800 clubs and organizations to find out how to get involved on campus. Although there are over 800 clubs and orgs on campus, a large sample will have booths with informational hand-outs and giveaways to highlight their club and recruit new members.

The son of Rick Nielsen, founding member and guitarist for Cheap Trick, Miles Nielsen has managed to make a name for himself as a true, Midwest Americana rocker. With a self-proclaimed "Beatlesque-Cosmic-Americana" style, don't expect to hear any 80s power pop at this show. Instead, Miles and his band use a distinct blend of crunchy guitars, southern rock keys, and three part vocal harmonies to create charming, old-fashioned, story-telling songs

Art and Politics: Cultural Activism in a Time of Crisis
Susan Platt is a freelance art historian, art critic and a political activist. She will speak in conjunction with the Christian Petersen Art Museum fall exhibition, "Post-Pop Redux: Material Based Art by Andy Magee." The exhibition and accompanying educational programs highlight the social and political commentary in art during the height of the presidential election.
SUB Music: The Knux w/ Kris Clarke
Made up of two brothers, The Knux are an alternative hip hop duo known for their high energy shows and progressive rock driven hip-hop style.

SUB Music: Tribal Seeds w/ Ballyhoo!
A six-piece Reggae band from San Diego, Tribal Seeds is headed by brothers Steven and Tony-Ray Jacobo and is without a doubt one of the best reggae bands around. They have toured all over North America and have shared the stage with The Wailers, Dave Matthews Band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Matisyahu, MGMT, and many other notable names.

Gallery Walk and Open House: The Land-Grant Act and the People's College
Sept. 11, 2012 marks the 150th anniversary of Iowa's acceptance of the Morrill Act. Join exhibition curator Allison Sheridan for a tour of the newly installed exhibition, The Land-Grant Act and the People's College. Take your photo with Abraham Lincoln and enjoy light refreshments as we celebrate the act that had a monumental impact on Iowa State's history. A book signing for the new publication will follow the gallery walk.

21-year-old Naia Kete grew up playing in her family's reggae band, and today she continues to create soulful acoustic music with rich lyrics and flowing rhythms. Her musical background lead her to success as a contestant on NBC's hit show The Voice last season, making it to the live shows on Blake Shelton's team.

An Evening with Jacobo Morales
Jacobo Morales is consider one of the most influential film directors in Puerto Rico's history. His presentation is part of the Puerto Rican Student Association's Cultural Night, which runs from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and includes traditional food and dancing.
KURE Concert w/ Cloud Nothings w/ Chomp
January 2011 saw the release of Cloud Nothings' self-titled debut LP, which when put next to Turning On, found Baldi cleaning up his lo-fi aesthetic, pairing his tales of affinitive confusion with a more pristine aural clarity. In the interval since the release of Cloud Nothings, Baldi has toured widely and put a great deal of focus on his live show, a detail that heavily shapes the music of the latest album, Attack on Memory.
