Conversations on Relationships
This panel discussion will engage a diverse group of art faculty in order to explore relationships and interconnections between art and other disciplines. This conversation will feature Emily Godbey, Steve Herrnstadt, Ingrid Lilligren, Chris Martin, and Chuck Richards.
Performance: Noises Off
"Noises Off" began when the Michael Frayn stood backstage to watch a performance of a farce he had written and decided that what he saw backstage was funnier than what was happening onstage. The result is "Noises Off" which shows the disintegration of a third rate theatre company from behind the scenes. Frank Rich, theatre critic for The New York Times, called the script "The funniest play written in my lifetime."

Bella Hristova, Violinist
Born in Bulgaria, Bella Hristova began violin studies at the age of six. She has lived in the United States since 1999 and after numerous awards and professional experience, she will stop to Ames and perform here for the first time.

SUB Music: Tony Lucca w/ Gabe Dixon
Tony Lucca started his music career back in 1991 as a member of The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera. For years he performed with notable acts such as, 'N Sync, Marc Anthony, Macy Gray, and Sara Bareilles. Lucca also saw recent success and much acclaim as a contestant on NBC's hit show The Voice. Tony finished as 2nd runner up, competing as part of Team Adam and coached by Adam Levine.

Speaking from his home in the Midwest on a beautiful spring day, singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin would strike you as a pretty relaxed guy. As he recounts his numerous accomplishments without any bravado, it would be understandable for McLaughlin to feel like he could coast a little as he prepares to release his third album, Promising Promises (Razor & Tie).
