Opening reception for "Weddings in the Heartland: Apparel, Traditions, Memories"
The exhibit features historic wedding apparel from the Textiles and Clothing Museum in the department of apparel, educational studies and hospitality management. The exhibit runs through April 16.
Realitès: The Lyric Sculpture of William King
William King's lyrical sculptures explore the strengths and weaknesses of the human condition. The elongated and larger-than-life forms often poke fun at the realities of human action and interaction. Nancy Girard, educator, will discuss King's human figure tradition and his installation in the Elizabeth and Byron Anderson Sculpture Garden.
Argentine Tango with Valerie Williams
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance.

"Intersections, Symbolism and Imagery: Lanzhou Jiaotong University and Iowa State University Exchange Exhibition" opening reception. A formal program will begin at 5:30 p.m. Artwork by faculty from Lanzhou Jiaotong University (LZJTU) in Lanzhou, China, will be on display at the College of Design Jan. 31-Feb. 16.

Tuesday Tea
Come to the Farm House Museum to enjoy tea and conversation about all things Farm House. Mark your calendar from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm Tuesdays this month and enjoy the 150 year old structure in a whole new way. Check the University Museums website to learn what the discussion topic will be. Can't make it at noon? The Farm House will be serving tea from 12 to 4 pm on Tuesdays so stop in any time.
Wheel Pottery
Students will be guided through all aspects of forming bowls, mugs, vases and more on the pottery wheel.

ISU Honor Band Concert
We are proud to be hosting two honor bands and featuring two world-class conductors for Iowa High School students. There will also be clinic sessions on a variety of topic.
Performance: Barjche 2011
Barjche 2011 will focus on the theme of space. Within this motif there will be explorations of personal space, shared space, site-specific performance and a funky second half that celebrates outer space. This yearly dance concert is produced in conjunction with Orchesis I and features student, faculty and guest artist choreography.
