Take Back the Night Rally, March & Open Mic
The annual Take Back the Night rally, march and open mic event is organized with the purpose of unifying women, men, and children in an awareness of violence against women, children and families. The march begins at 7:15 p.m. Taking the Stage to Reflect and Express Open Mic begins at 8:15 p.m. in the Maintenance Shop, with audience members sharing stories, poems, and music. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.

"Biofuels Research at ConocoPhillips," Lisa Myers, ConocoPhillips director of biofuels research and development. Reception and poster display at 6:00 p.m. in the Cardinal Room. Part of the Women in STEM Speaker Series.
Lecture: "The Girls from Ames"
"The Girls from Ames," author Jeffrey Zaslow. The story of 11 women and a 40-year friendship that started in Ames, Iowa. Now scattered across the country, these women share an unbreakable bond of friendship that includes constant contact and annual reunions. The book began as a response to his Wall Street Journal column on the enduring bonds of women's friendships.
