Gallery Talk with Chris Martin and Barbara Walton
Encaustic paintings by Barbara Walton and fine-art furniture by Chris Martin, associate professors of integrated studio arts, are on display Sept. 24- Oct. 5 in Gallery 181-1, first floor, College of Design. Martin and Walton will present a gallery talk at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the gallery. The work of both faculty members was funded by Iowa Arts Council Major Grants.

Jerry Franklin is one of the country's leading authorities on sustainable forest management. He is widely known for his participation on President Clinton's Forest Ecosystem Management Assessment Team (FEMAT), established during the spotted owl controversy in the American Northwest.
