Lecture: LEEDing into the Future
"LEEDing into the Future," Kerry Dixon-Fox, ISU facilities planning and management. The LEED process ensures that buildings are constructed in a sustainable manner. Dixon-Fox will discuss this program in general, and give an in-depth look at how LEED is changing construction at ISU! She will also discuss components such as rain gardens and green roofs, and how to "retrofit" existing buildings.
History of Western Printmaking, 1400-Present
Public lecture on the history of western printmaking by artists and Drive-By Press co-founders Gregory Nanney and Joseph Velasquez. Followed by a reception for an exhibition of contemporary prints from the Drive-By Press collection in Gallery 181, in conjunction with the "Apocalypse: 11th Annual International Postcard Print Exchange Exhibition."

"How Agricultural Economics Saved Futures Markets: An Untold Story of Leadership," Iowa State alum Scott Irwin. Irwin is recognized as a leader in agricultural economics. He has made important contributions to the ongoing international debate on the role of speculators in commodity futures markets and is often quoted as an authority on agricultural markets in the financial press.
