Islamophobia: The Challenges of Being Muslim in America
Moustafa Bayoumi is the author of How Does It Feel to Be a Problem? Being Young and Arab in America, which won an American Book Award and the Arab American Book Award for Nonfiction. The book introduces us to seven twenty-something men and women living in Brooklyn, home to the largest number of Arab Americans in the United States, and uses their stories to break down stereotypes and cliches about Arabs and Muslims.
Meeting: Men of Color Collective
The Men of Color Collective is a student-led group supported by Multicultural Student Affairs focusing on leadership, support and development of historically marginalized males at Iowa State University. With involvement by staff and campus allies, the Men of Color focus programming and discussions on five key pillars: support, safety, skills, scholarship and success. All ISU community members are welcome to take part in the discussion.

Tai Chi Class
Learn the Yang Style Short Form as developed by Cheng Man Ching. The fun, easy-to-learn movements of The Form refresh the spirit and help improve balance, posture, flexibility, confidence, circulation, and overall health and well-being. Students will also learn a few Baqua and Chi Kung health exercises. This is a beginner level class appropriate for college students to seniors and everyone in between.
