Social Justice Summit
For 40 Iowa State students. This event is an opportunity for them to learn more about inclusion issues and what social justice means to them and to their community. Applications can be completed online and are due Jan. 21. The summit continues 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

Black Faces of War
Robert V. Morris is the author of the new illustrated history Black Faces of War: A Legacy of Honor from the American Revolution to Today. The grandson and son of two decorated army officers, Morris founded the Fort Des Moines Memorial Park and the WWII Iowa Tuskegee Airmen Memorial at the Des Moines International Airport. His documentary Tradition And Valor was broadcast on Iowa Public Television.

Reflections on the Greensboro Four
On Feb. 1, 1960, four African-American freshmen from North Carolina A&T State University had enough of continued segregation in the South and sat down at Greensboro's "whites only" Woolworth lunch counter. They returned everyday for five months until they were served and Woolworth agreed to integrate their lunch counters. Joseph McNeil, of the Greensboro Four who started it all, will the story.

Gamma "Panther Chow" fund-raiser
Support the ISU Gammas by purchasing a snack bag of "Panther Chow" cereal treats for $1. Funds are being used to send members to the national sisterhood retreat. ISU's Gamma Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. is a multicultural group which works to empower women through academics, community service, cultural awareness morals and ethics, and social interaction.
