Poet Aimee Nezhukumatathil was born in Chicago to a Filipina mother and a father from South India. Her recently published book of poetry, Lucky Fish, moves from India to the Philippines to New York state to capture a rich life, richly lived. She teaches creative writing and environmental literature at the State University of New York-Fredonia. Symposium on Wildness, Wilderness and Creative Imagination.

Lecture: Ethical Behavior in Finance
Erin Krupka is an experimental behavioral economist who studies how the desire to conform to economic social norms influences immoral and selfish behavior. She tries to understand why individuals often behave in a manner consistent with group norms, even in settings where there is no strategic advantage for doing so, including corporate settings. Memories of Internment
Grace Amemiya was a nursing student at the University of California, San Francisco, in 1941 when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Her education was interrupted when she and her family were detained in internment camps. She will talk about her personal experiences as a former internee. Part of the 2012 Iowa State Conference on Race and Ethnicity, ISCORE.
Non-Profit Protege Program Applications Due
Each Fall semester, the Student Activities Center at Iowa State University sponsors the Non-Profit Protégé Program in conjunction with the United Way of Story County. Undergraduate ISU students have the opportunity to walk in the shoes of an administrator of a local non-profit organization.
