Dance Marathon Stacks for Stead
Join Dance Marathon members on the South Campanile Lawn to enjoy unlimited pancakes and sausage, live music, family stories and more. Proceeds benefit the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons

Mixed Level Pottery Class w/ Alice McGary
An introduction to creating functional pottery on the wheel. Start with the building blocks of centering clay and pulling cylinders, and move on to make bowls, mugs, and other forms. Learn how to pull handles, glaze, and finishing techniques, and build the skills needed to continue on your own. Open to beginners as well as those with experience who would like to improve their skills.

Sugar Skulls Embroidery Workshop w/ Judy Lemish
Sugar skulls are symbolic pieces of folk art popular during Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday for remembering and honoring those who have passed. Choose from several patterns and personalize with your color choices. Those new to stitching will learn the basic embroidery stitches. If you know the basics, try some fancy stitches to add to your repertoire. Look for Dia de los Muertos celebrations on November 1 & 2.

Woodshop Orientation w/ John Burright
Learn the fundamentals of our woodworking equipment and which tool to choose for the job at hand. Practice using the machinery while making a key rack and shelf you can take home with you after class. Safety is a Workspace priority, so the orientation is required to use the woodshop on your own.
