Knitting Class
Learn the basics of knitting: cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off, rib stitch, increase and decrease techniques, pattern reading, gauge swatching, and picking up dropped stitches. Bring a pair of #7 or #8 single-point needles. Yarn will be provided.
Belly Dance Lessons
Learn basic belly dance movements and how to perform them in a variety of different ways by making specific choices about size and speed of motion. One or two moves will be explored each week and then put into short practice phrases.

Intermediate Belly Dance Lessons: Travel Steps and Finger Cymbals
Music is the art of combining sound to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Dance is music made visible. In this class, we'll continue to fuel our belly dance adDICTION by exploring inflection, timing and punctuation to create sentences and paragraphs that communicate something very specific with an audience. Bring finger cymbals to class if you have them.

Apple sale

Paint Your Own Pottery: Bubble Painting
Join us on Fridays evenings for a fun exploration of techniques in "painting" bisque. This technique is sort of like blowing bubbles when you were a kid, but we do it with a straw and paint. The popped bubbles show up and make interesting patterns on the finished pieces.

Join the Latino Heritage Committee's celebration of Lation Heritage Month with a night of games and candy.

Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Woodshop Orientation Class
For the beginner who wants to learn the fundamentals of woodworking equipment. Proper usage of the machinery will be covered, as well as woodshop safety. This class is required in order to use the woodshop on your own.
Broken China Jewelry Class
Find the perfect use for that lovely chipped china! Learn to cut and shape pieces of china and add solder to make gorgeous pendants. China will be available, but feel free to bring in something special from Grandma.

Jewelry Casting Class
Lost-wax casting is an ago-old sculptural jewelry process. Students will incorporate both hand carved and molded forms that will be cast in brass. Final pieces can be pendants, pins or miniatures.

Glass Beads Class
Learn the process of sculpting glass rods by heating and melting the glass in the flame of a gas-powered torch. After practice, your lampworking skills will allow you to create pieces with detail and complexity that you can use in jewelry or other decorative ways.

Hip-hop artist Bubba Sparxxx's platinum certified debut album Dark Days, Bright Nights debuted at #3 on the Billboard music charts in 2001 and was followed up by Deliverance in 2003 and The Charm in 2006, which contained the hit single "Ms. New Booty" that peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. He's touring in support of his latest album, 2014's Made on McCosh Mill Road.

Metalworking Class
Begin your exploration of metalsmithing by learning how to work with different types of metal, how to safely use tools, and techniques such as sawing, drilling, forming, chasing, annealing and riveting. Students will complete one or two projects depending on complexity. Pendants, earrings and bangle bracelets are just a few of the possibilities!
Wood Stack Table Class
Learn how stack laminate and make a small striped table or stool. The first night students will assemble various types of wood with glue and clamps. The second night sand and finish your piece. Leave class with a beautifully variegated functional object for your home.
